RECLAIM THE NIGHT!

Thousands of women from all over the UK and the rest of Europe will be travelling to London to attend the 7th Reclaim the Night march on Saturday 27th November 2010. Be one of them!

The women-only march is assembling at 6pm in Whitehall Place, nearest tube Embankment. We will take back the streets of London and then end with a huge rally and party at the Camden Centre, opposite Kings Cross. The rally and party are mixed and open to all.

Put your feet on the streets for women and protest against epidemic levels of male violence against women and social tolerance for these crimes. Demand justice for women who survive rape and raise your voices in disgust at the disgraceful conviction rate for rape, currently around 6%. Only 1 in every 20 reported rapes ever ends in a conviction. If you do not believe that 19 out of every 20 women who report rape are liars, then join with us to march against all forms of male violence and demand freedom for women.

PETTYBONE DEMO

So it was our demo release show the other day... A massive thank you to everyone whom came out, helped out and made the show amazing! A big thank you to Lee for getting his amp for us when ours broke during our third song.

We had a great time and we would like to thank you all for the support.

There was 50 limited demo's which were hand made and the at artwork was done by myself (Lianna Davies) check it out... I also made some for the other ladies Pettybone pop art!

Also a picture of a punk rock poochie whom we had to get removed from our show as it would have done damage to his hearing

There will be demo's avalible at all shows from now on just with slightly different artwork... Keep your eyes peeled there will be some more surprises and rarities soon.

Why Pro-Feminist?

“Well, we discuss it now and again... Not everyone agrees with the name. Some think that we should be called an ‘anti-sexist men’s group’. There’s the idea that we don’t want to colonize a term for a movement set up by women for the liberation of women, and that calling ourselves male feminists or something similar would suggest we don’t understand and aren’t sensitive to the issues. However, plenty of feminists argue that feminism is for all people who want equality, and that men ought to call themselves feminists as they are fighting the same fight as female feminists. I think we’re happy calling ourselves pro-feminists and helping to define what exactly that term means by simply existing under that title!
